Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3P Intel SATA RAID Driver
Upgraded from EPds3 to this as it had support for CrossFire and higher RAID levels than my previous card. Otherwise, I see no great difference to my. It is my understanding that any x1 card should work in any x1, x4, x8 or x16 slot according to the PCIe specification. The first PCIE x16 slot is strictly meant for videocards only.

I specifically purchased this board so that I could use sata controllers in all 5 PCIe slots. It does not state in the manual that the x16 slot is meant for videocards only.
Perhaps I need to return the board and buy one from a different manufacturer. I really don't want to do that, I already have 5 other PCs in my house that I built with Gigabyte boards, I love them.

You make an excellent product. Begrudgingly after more issues I reinstalled my Norton utilities, it found no registry issues, but corrected DLL's. Later I added MalwareBytes.

Things always seem ok for hours then the problems comes right back. Cheap ram is making this Dominator look kind weak in the knees I'm really uncertain of how to proceed but I'm thinking the Dominators have always been my problem through the builds.
Has anyone had any success with them? What am I missing? JB Last edited by jbdicarlo; at Turn on your computer.
